Li Na has booked her place in the WTA Championships courtesy of her performance at the recent China Open.
The Chinese number one, who has not featured in the end-of-season tournament for the last two years, will be joined in Istanbul by Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Petra Kvitova, Angelique Kerber and Sara Errani.
Discussing her return to the event, the 30-year-old expressed her excitement at the prospect of competing alongside the world's top players.
"In the last two years, I have played the best tennis of my career and I am excited to return to the WTA Championships again this year," she said.
The competition is due to get underway on Tuesday, October 23.
