Sale director of rugby Bryan Redpath insists that he is "a lot happier" with his side, despite a sixth consecutive defeat of the season against Leicester Tigers.

Sale Sharks director of rugby Bryan Redpath has insisted that he is much happier with his side, despite a sixth consecutive defeat of the season against Leicester Tigers on Friday night.

Having got themselves 8-6 ahead at half-time, the Sharks were undone in the second period and eventually went down 8-20 at the Salford City Stadium to leave them winless after six matches.

"I'm a lot happier. There were just a couple of crucial passes again that didn't happen," said Redpath.

"We just had a bad start to the second [half] and never really recovered. George Ford for them just kept kicking them into positions and that made it harder."

Redpath's side are now three points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Aviva Premiership table.
