Widnes Vikings comfortably defeat Warrington Wolves

Widnes Vikings come from six points down to defeat Warrington Wolves in the Super League.

Widnes Vikings have beaten Warrington Wolves 16-6 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium after coming from behind.

After a closely-contested opening quarter of an hour, the hosts went ahead with a try from Simon Grix, converted by Stefan Ratchford on 16 minutes.

From that point on it was downhill for Warrington, however, although they held a slender lead into the break following Jack Owens's unconverted score.

Patrick Ah Van scored 15 minutes into the second half, with Owens kicking the extras to put the Vikings ahead for the first time in the match.

Then six minutes later the win was secure, with Owens converting from his own score.
