Wigan Warriors put four tries past Castleford Tigers

Matty Smith, Joe Burgess, Micky McIlorum and Dominic Manfredi all score as Wigan Warriors beat Castleford Tigers.

Wigan Warriors have registered a 28-0 victory over Castleford Tigers tonight.

In a scrappy contest, Wigan scored two penalties through Matty Smith to establish a four-point lead but Castleford's stubborn defence limited their attacking success.

They had to wait until the 35th minute to finally cross the line as Joe Burgess latched on to the end of a Smith kick and touched the ball down.

After the break, they put the game to bed in style as Micky McIlorum darted through the Castleford defence to give his side an 18-point lead.

That sparked a late flurry, as Dan Sarginson crossed a few minutes later and Dominic Manfredi evaded three defensive tackles to touchdown in the corner.
