Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan fined for referee rant

The FA fines Wolves chairman Steve Morgan £2,500 for his rant at referee Mike Jones.

Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan has been fined £2,500 by the Football Association following a rant at a referee.

Morgan confronted Mike Jones on the touchline in the wake of his team's 2-1 defeat at home to Bournemouth on December 6.

The 62-year-old, who later issued an apology to Jones, has also been warned of his future conduct after admitting an FA charge relating to improper conduct.

Wolves are back in Championship action on Boxing Day when they travel to Watford.
