Report: West Ham United closing in on Mauro Zarate

West Ham United are set to complete the signing of Velez Sarsfield striker Mauro Zarate, according to a report.

West Ham United are reportedly set to complete the signing of Velez Sarsfield striker Mauro Zarate.

The Argentine has been linked with a move to Upton Park and his brother Rolando claimed earlier this week that a deal was nearly finalised.

According to The Express, Zarate has agreed terms with West Ham and should sign for the club within the next 48 hours.

Zarate has previous experience in the Premier League having played on loan for Birmingham City in 2008.
