Sam Allardyce has admitted that his West Ham United side have a "massive opportunity" in the upcoming final of the Championship playoffs.
The Hammers set up their trip to Wembley on Saturday, May 19 courtesy of a 5-0 aggregate win over Cardiff City at Upton Park earlier today.
Looking ahead to the final, Allardyce has asked his team to match the performance that they put in against the Bluebirds over the two legs.
"It's great," he told Sky Sports News. "It's not what we ultimatley wanted but we have produced two outstanding performances.
"The response of the players was terrific as far as I'm concerned.
"We've got a massive opportunity to get into the golden league. Hopefully we can hold it together at Wembley and put in a performance like we have today."
Allardyce took charge of West Ham last summer.
