West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson has ruled out making any short-term purchases in the January transfer window.
The Baggies, who recently lost midfielder Zoltan Gera for the season through injury, find themselves 15th in the Premier League table after Saturday's home defeat to Wigan Athletic.
"I don't think anyone is sitting on their hands and allowing things to pass by," said Hodgson. "The loss of Gera has put us a man down but I don't think we'll be looking for wholesale changes.
"On the other hand, we're in a good position. The club is very healthy thanks to the work that's been done over the last few years.
"Most of the things we would do would be more with an eye to the future, rather than thinking 'we must do something now because if we don't we're going to be in a bad position'."
The Midlands side travel to Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League next Saturday.
