Wigan Athletic moved out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
Roberto Martinez's Wigan actually fell behind at the Hawthorns when Republic of Ireland international Steven Reid scored direct from a free-kick after 33 minutes.
However, the away side levelled up the score just four minutes later through Victor Moses. Youssouf Mulumbu cleared inside the West Brom area but could only find Moses and the Nigerian curled an effort into the top corner of the net.
The game's two goalscorers were then involved in the winning goal in the 57th minute, with Reid bringing down Moses inside the area. Jordi Gomez stepped up to convert the resultant penalty.
Former Wigan midfielder Paul Scharner had West Brom's best chance to claim a point, but he headed over from close range in the 89th minute.
