Wales defender Chris Gunter has insisted that the national team is improving under manager Chris Coleman.
Coleman recently signed a new deal with the Football Association of Wales following some uncertainty over his future.
However, the team were unable to finish 2013 on a winning note as they conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Finland on Friday.
"Chris signing the contract was the right thing to do and is definitely going to help us," Wales Online quotes Gunter as saying.
"We've been improving whatever people say and for him to sign a new contract was brilliant news for everyone concerned.
"We need to build now, see what the Euro 2016 draw brings us and look forward to that."
Gunter has won 51 caps for Wales since making his debut in 2007.
