Swansea City have got a deal over the line for Roque Mesa, bringing in the midfielder from Las Palmas for a fee of £11m.
The 28-year-old, previously on the radar of Atletico Madrid and Roma, had been closing in on a switch to the Liberty Stadium after agreeing personal terms earlier this week.
Swansea have now confirmed that a deal has been struck following the completion of a medical, with Mesa - boasting the second-highest pass-completion rate in La Liga last season - penning a four-year deal in South Wales.
Mesa had spent the past seven years with Las Palmas, helping the club to promotion in 2015 and then consolidating their place in the top tier of Spanish football.
Swans boss Paul Clement has now brought in three players during the summer transfer window, adding to the previous signings of Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea and Erwin Mulder on a permanent deal from Heerenveen.
