Angel Rangel has insisted that Swansea City must be aware of the threat posed by Southampton when the two sides meet this weekend.
Michael Laudrup's side have impressed recently, earning a draw against Chelsea on Sunday following a Capital One Cup victory over Liverpool.
However, Angel claims that the Swans must not become complacent against the Saints, despite their lowly league position.
"The last few games was a big week of fixtures for us," the Spanish defender told the club's official website. "We did very well to win at a big club like Liverpool in the cup. Then we stood up to Chelsea and held the current Champions League holders.
"But now we have a very different game to prepare for. Southampton have not made the start they would have hoped for, but they are a team that will fight for everything against us.
"It will be as tough as the last few games, maybe even tougher because they are desperate to start moving themselves out of the bottom three."
Southampton continued their poor form with a defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.
