Michael Laudrup: 'We deserved draw'

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup says that a draw with Chelsea is a good way to round off a pleasing week for the south Wales club.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup believes that his side deserved their point from today's game against Chelsea.

An Abel Hernandez strike two minutes from time saw the European champions held to a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

"I think it was a deserved point," said the Dane.

"There were very few chances in today's game. We had a couple of half chances while Chelsea had the Torres header which Leon cleared off the line.

"So, for me, the result was a deserved one."

Laudrup said that the result was a nice way to round off a week which saw them also knock Liverpool out of the League Cup at Anfield.

"We played the champions of Europe, and Liverpool at Anfield. I may be wrong but I've counted six chances against us in those games," he added.

"To finish this important week for the club with three positive performances was pleasing."

The Swans lie in 11th place in the Premier League.
