Lee Cattermole welcome back into Sunderland's starting lineup to face Peterborough United.

Former captain Lee Cattermole is back in the starting lineup for Sunderland as the club begin life after Paulo Di Canio against Peterborough United in the League Cup.

Lee Tomlin, who was subject of interest from Scottish champions Celtic during the recent transfer window, starts up front for Peterborough.

Posh are without Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Mark Little who each begin three-game bans for red cards on Saturday against Milton Keynes Dons.
