Team News: Joselu, Jakob Haugaard start for Stoke City in Everton friendly

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes hands starts to summer signings Joselu and Jakob Haugaard for their Barclays Asia Trophy clash with Everton.

Joselu and Jakob Haugaard have been named in the Stoke City starting lineup for their Barclays Asia Trophy clash with Everton in Malaysia.

Fellow summer signings Shay Given and Marco van Ginkel are among the substitutes for the Potters.

Phil Bardsley, Marc Muniesa, Peter Odemwingie, Stephen Ireland and Marko Arnautovic are among those that start, with the likes of Charlie Adam, Mame Biram Diouf and Glenn Whelan having to settle for a spot on the bench.

Everton are without Leighton Baines, who is expected to miss the whole of pre-season following ankle surgery. Manager Roberto Martinez has handed starts to youngsters Brendan Galloway and Tyias Browning in his back four, with John Stones named as a substitute.

New signings Gerard Deulofeu and Tom Cleverley are also on the bench, with Phil Jagielka, Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku starting for the Toffees.
