Tottenham Hotspur open talks with Kyle Walker-Peters?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen for defender Kyle Walker-Peters to pen a new contract at the North London outfit.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly started contract negotiations with defender Kyle Walker-Peters.

At the start of the season, Walker-Peters put in a man-of-the-match display on his Premier League debut against Newcastle United and it led to the fullback penning fresh terms.

The 21-year-old has only been used sparingly during the rest of the campaign - with just eight appearances being made in all competitions - but it appears that Spurs still have high hopes for the youngster.

According to ESPN, boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to extend the player's deal at the English giants, despite his current contract not expiring until 2020.

While Serge Aurier and Kieran Trippier are ahead of Walker-Peters in the pecking order, Pochettino is said to see the Under-20 World Cup winner as a long-term successor for either player.
