Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that Roberto Soldado will not be leaving the club this summer.
The 30-year-old has constantly been linked with an exit from White Hart Lane, after enduring a difficult spell in North London.
Over the weekend it was reported that the striker was on the verge of joining Villarreal, but Pochettino has rubbished the speculation and expects him to be with the club over the next 12 months.
"[Soldado] is our player and in our plans," Pochettino told reporters. "I can't confirm that [he will be leaving]."
Soldado scored five goals in 40 appearances for Spurs last season.
