Daniel Levy 'to wait until end of season before deciding Jose Mourinho future'

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy reportedly has no intention of parting ways with Jose Mourinho before the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will reportedly wait until the summer before making a decision on Jose Mourinho's future.

While Spurs have earned a place in the EFL Cup final and are on course to qualify for the Europa League last 16, the North London outfit have dropped off the pace in the Premier League.

Ahead of an important fixture with rivals West Ham United, Spurs sit 20 points adrift of leaders Manchester City and six points below the Champions League places.

However, according to ESPN, Levy is prepared to wait until the end of the season to see if Mourinho can deliver silverware.

The report adds that Levy faces the prospect of paying out £30m if he sacks Mourinho this season, a situation that he is keen to avoid given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mourinho has a contract with Spurs until the end of the 2022-23 season.
