Napoli legend Diego Maradona has called on the club to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Gonzalo Higuain is currently the main striker for the Serie A outfit having scored 30 goals for the club this season, but Maradona believes that his compatriot will not be able to match that tally again.
Instead, the Argentine World Cup winner has urged his former club to sign Kane, who has scored 24 Premier League goals this term to help Spurs to a surprise title challenge.
"I think [Higuain] has already done the best he can for Napoli and he's not going to have another season like this one," Maradona told Naples TV channel Piuenne.
"We saw it also with [Ezequiel] Lavezzi. They need new faces and they need to sell Higuain for as much money as possible. Instead of Higuain, I would go for Kane of Tottenham."
Napoli saw their Serie A title chase come to an end on Monday as they fell to defeat at the hands of Roma.
