Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has revealed the hard work he puts in during training to master his free-kick taking.
The Wales international scored another two impressive free kicks in the 2-1 win over Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old, who has been in fine form this season, admitted that he has been practising dead ball situations on the training pitch in preparation for games.
"I've been practising for ages now," said Bale. "I think if you keep practising, it does come off in a match.
"At the start, the main thing is to get the technique right, so at first it's best to have nothing in front of you.
"As you get better you start adding the wall and the mannequins, and then eventually you bring a keeper in. It's more of a progression and it does take a while to master."
Bale has made 30 appearances for Spurs this season, scoring 17 goals.
