Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has hinted that the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti will be confirmed once Paris Saint-Germain have finalised an agreement with Laurent Blanc.
Los Blancos have been pursuing PSG boss Ancelotti since Jose Mourinho left to rejoin Chelsea earlier this summer, but his arrival at Madrid has been delayed due to the French club's difficulty in recruiting his successor.
According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas and Fabio Capello both rejected the chance to manage the Ligue 1 champions before former France captain Blanc, who has revealed that he is scheduled to have talks with PSG, was approached.
Asked what Ancelotti's appointment depended on, Perez told Spanish paper 20minutos:: "That PSG reach an agreement with Ancelotti and announce their new coach, Blanc.
"As of today nothing is signed. It could be tomorrow that PSG announces an agreement which allows him to move to Madrid. Hopefully everything goes well. My coach is Ancelotti."
Perez has also admitted Madrid's interest in signing Malaga winger Isco.
