Galatasary announce that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid over the transfer of Hamit Altintop.

Galatasaray have revealed that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid over the transfer of Hamit Altintop.

The Turkish midfielder was expected to leave Los Blancos this summer after failing to hold down a regular starting berth under Jose Mourinho.

Altintop will pen a four-year deal with his native side, who have paid around £3m for his services.

"We have reached an agreement for four seasons with Real Madrid player Hamit Altintop, starting from 2012-2013 season," the Istanbul club said on their website.

Altintop joined Madrid in 2011 after spells in Germany with Bayern Munich and Schalke.
