Hamit Altintop: I have signed for Galatasaray

Hamit Altintop tells Turkish press that his short stint at Real Madrid is over as he has signed for Galatasaray.

Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop has reportedly told Turkish press that he has signed for Galatasaray.

The Turkish international has returned to his home country and made an announcement to the press upon his arrival.

"That's right, I signed for Galatasaray", news agency Anadolu News quotes the 29-year-old as saying.

Speculation regarding the future of the versatile midfielder has been rife as he has made just five appearances since arriving from Bayern Munich, scoring one goal.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho had highlighted at a press conference that
"Turkish players are great people but have had a bad start".

Galatasaray are under scrutiny themselves having been accused of match-fixing and being excluded from European competitions.
