Team News: Wolverhampton Wanderers unchanged at Queens Park Rangers

Nuno Espirito Santo names an unchanged Wolverhampton Wanderers starting XI for the trip to Queens Park Rangers.

Nuno Espirito Santo has named an unchanged Wolverhampton Wanderers starting XI for the league trip to Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

The Portuguese manager made nine changes for the penalty-shootout defeat at Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday but reverts to the same starting XI that delivered a 3-2 win over Preston North End last weekend as he looks to return to the top of the table following Sheffield United's win at Leeds United last night.

Ivan Cavaleiro, Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini spearhead the attack in Nuno's favoured 3-4-3 formation, with Matt Doherty and Barry Douglas operating either side of Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves in midfield.

Skipper Danny Batth is joined by Conor Coady and Roderick Miranda in the backline, ahead of John Ruddy between the posts.

Options on the bench include Willy Boly, back after a seven-week layoff due to a hamstring injury, Alfred N'Diaye, Helder Costa and Bright Enobakhare.

As for the hosting Hoops, Ian Holloway makes three alterations to his starting XI following the 1-1 draw at rock-bottom Bolton Wanderers a week ago.

Holloway switches to an expected 4-3-3 formation for the visit of Wolves, with Conor Washington coming in for Jamie Mackie alongside Luke Freeman and Idrissa Sylla up front.

Pawel Wszolek drops to the bench and Ryan Manning misses out as Jordan Cousins - making his first appearance of the season after a hamstring injury - links up with Josh Scowen and Massimo Luongo in the middle of the park.

Meanwhile, Jack Robinson slots into the left of a defensive line of Alex Baptiste, Joel Lynch and Jake Bidwell, ahead of Alex Smithies between the sticks.

Queens Park Rangers: Smithies; Baptiste, Lynch, Bidwell, Robinson; Scowen, Luongo, Cousins; Freeman, Washington, Sylla
Subs: Lumley, Furlong, Wszolek, Ngbakoto, Wheeler, Mackie, Smith

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Ruddy; Batth, Coady, Miranda; Doherty, Saiss, Neves, Douglas; Cavaleiro, Bonatini, Jota
Subs: Norris, N'Diaye, Bennett, Marshall, Boly, Costa, Enobakhare
