Kylian Mbappe set a new Champions League scoring record as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Real Sociedad on Wednesday night.
Heading into the first leg of their last-16 tie at Parc des Princes, Mbappe's future remained a hot topic of debate, with it being claimed that he is still yet to decide on his next move.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are said to be pushing to wrap up a deal as soon as possible as they bid to sign the 2018 World Cup winner on a free transfer.
However, Mbappe has reiterated on more than one occasion that he is fully focused on trying to win more silverware at PSG for the remainder of 2023-24, most notably a Champions League trophy.
That was the case against another Spanish side in Sociedad on Wednesday as Mbappe and Bradley Barcola guided PSG to a 2-0 victory.

Mbappe chipped in with the opening goal, with the 25-year-old on hand to volley into the roof of the net from close range after being left free at the back post.
The strike was Mbappe's fourth from seven appearances in this season's Champions League, and his 44th goal in 68 outings in the competition throughout his career.
In putting PSG ahead against Sociedad, Mbappe became the first player in Champions League history to score in 10 successive home fixtures.
He had only made it nine goals in such contests when netting a controversial last-gasp penalty against Newcastle United in PSG's final home group game in November.

Although PSG head to Spain in control of the tie, Mbappe is yet to score in an away Champions League fixture during 2023-24, and has now gone four such matches without doing so.
Nevertheless, Mbappe now has a remarkable 31 goals and seven assists to his name this campaign, despite making just 30 appearances in all competitions.
Mbappe has chipped in with at least one goal or assist in nine of his last 10 outings, only failing to directly contribute in the 2-2 draw with Brest on January 28.
PSG are next in action when they make the trip to face Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
