Team News: Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Portugal XI

Striker Cristiano Ronaldo is handed a start in Portugal's friendly with Estonia in Lisbon.

Striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a start in Portugal's friendly with Estonia in Lisbon.

The 31-year-old was absent for his nation's 1-0 defeat to England last week as he was rested following his appearance for Real Madrid in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid at the end of May.

However, Portugal's talisman is back for their final fixture ahead of Euro 2016, where they are drawn to play Austria, Hungary and Iceland.

Ronaldo's Real Madrid teammate Pepe also comes into the side at the expense of Ricardo Carvalho, while Southampton defender Cedric Soares features at right-back.

Bruno Alves is missing from the squad after he was sent off at Wembley Stadium for a high challenge on Harry Kane.

Portugal: Rui Patricio; Cedric, Pepe, Fonte, Guerreiro; Danilo, Moutinho, Joao Mário, Andre Gomes; Quaresma, Ronaldo

Estonia: Londak; Teniste, Baranov, Klavan, Kallaste; Mets, Dmitrijev, Antonov, Puri; Kruglov, Anier
