Javi Gracia departs Osasuna

Javi Gracia leaves his position as Osasuna manager after just one season in charge.

Javi Gracia has stepped down from his position as Osasuna manager after just one season in charge.

The 44-year-old, who led Almeria into La Liga last season, replaced Jose Luis Mendilibar at the Pamplona outfit last summer.

However, the season ended in disappointment for the Spaniard, with Osasuna dropping out of La Liga after a 14-year stay in Spain's top flight.

Gracia, who started his coaching career with Villarreal's youth outfit in 2004, featured for six different clubs during his playing career in Spain.
