Norwich City manager Chris Hughton insists that he is doing everything in his power to sign a striker before the transfer window closes.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has declared that he is doing everything possible to sign a striker before the transfer window closes.

The Canaries have had bids for Celtic hitman Gary Hooper and Swansea City forward Danny Graham rejected in the last few days.

Hughton admitted that he has looked at Queens Park Rangers bringing in Loic Remy for a club record £8m with a degree of envy.

He told The Sun: "I see QPR spending big money and bringing in Loic Remy and that's what they're able to do. But we have to do things our way.

"It's about trying to bring the right player in, a player that's going to benefit what we are about and that's going to add to our squad.

"We'll keep going right the way through but it's never that easy. At this moment we're on a bad run and it's about the players showing enough belief and quality to get back to winning ways."

Norwich extended their winless Premier League run to six games last weekend with a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.
