Burnley marked manager Eddie Howe's one-year anniversary in charge of the club by recording a 2-0 win away at Middlesbrough this afternoon.
Striker Jay Rodriguez opened the scoring in the sixth minute when he converted a cross from Ross Wallace.
The visitors' advantage was doubled in the 28th minute courtesy of winger Kieran Trippier, who scored from the edge of the area.
Hosts Middlesbrough had chances to get themselves back into the match after the break, but they were unable to breach Lee Grant's net.
