Manchester United are reportedly looking to add Go Ahead Eagles manager Rene Hake to Erik ten Hag's coaching staff at Old Trafford.
Hake, 52, has been in charge of Go Ahead Eagles since 2022, boasting a record of 28 wins, 20 draws and 28 defeats from his 76 matches at the helm.
The Dutchman has another two years left to run on his contract, but according to the Daily Mail, Man United are looking to bring him to Old Trafford to become an assistant to first-team manager Ten Hag.
Ex-Man United centre-forward Ruud van Nistelrooy is also being heavily linked with a return to the club as a staff member, which will raise questions over the futures of current assistant managers Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren, with both potentially leaving as part of a revamp.
Go Ahead Eagles technical director Paul Bosvelt has confirmed "interest" from the Red Devils in Hake but has insisted that no contact has been made at this stage.

Hake could move to Man United this summer
"We are aware of the interest, but United has not yet reported to us. We understand that it is a great opportunity. But we will have to wait and see," Bosvelt told sportnieuws.nl.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Hake's move to Old Trafford 'is inevitable', with players for Go Ahead Eagles allegedly already being informed that there is a deal in place.
Ten Hag has previously spoken of his respect for Hake, having worked with him in the past at FC Twente.
"After our common period at Twente, we have always kept in touch," he told Voetbal International. "We meet up and call each other. You talk about private matters, how things are going at home and with the children.
"But usually it is about football. (At Twente) he was incredibly driven, ambitious, but also extremely convinced of himself. A trainer who worked very methodically."

Is Van Nistelrooy returning to Man United?
Van Nistelrooy is also being heavily linked with a return to the club that he represented as a player between 2001 and 2006, scoring 150 goals in 219 appearances.
The Dutchman has allegedly been on Burnley's radar as a replacement for Vincent Kompany, but he is also believed to have held talks with Man United over a return to Old Trafford.
The 47-year-old resigned as PSV Eindhoven manager just before the end of the 2022-23 campaign, claiming that he was lacking support from the club.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said last week that a decision on Van Nistelrooy's future was imminent, but it now appears that the speculation will continue over the weekend.
