Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted that he has little choice but to adapt to the idea of not starting every game for Manchester United.
The French midfielder, a £25m signing from Southampton in the summer, was benched for last Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Arsenal as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick were given the nod by Louis van Gaal.
Having started 91 Premier League games for Southampton over the previous three seasons, the 25-year-old concedes that failing to make the lineup on a regular basis is not ideal, but Schneiderlin admits that acceptance is key.
"I have played a lot of matches. The coach made a lot of changes in attack and even in midfield and you have to get used to it," he told reporters
"I used to play all the games with Southampton but things have changed. I happened to be on the bench, you have to take it philosophically."
Schneiderlin has started six of United's eight league games this season.
