Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Southampton on August 22.

Manchester United will be looking to make it back-to-back wins at the start of the new Premier League season when they head to Southampton on August 22.

The Red Devils recorded a 5-1 victory over Leeds United in their league opener on Saturday, with Bruno Fernandes scoring three times in a five-star performance.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side now face a trip to a Southampton side that began their 2021-22 campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

Marcus Rashford played through the pain of a shoulder problem last season and has now undergone an operation, which will keep him on the sidelines until at least October.

Edinson Cavani was granted extra time off following his involvement for Uruguay at the Copa America, but the striker is expected back at the club next week and could potentially feature against Southampton.
