Manchester United attacker Juan Mata has revealed his delight at returning to the Spain fold after missing out on Vicente del Bosque's recent squads.
The 27-year-old was part of La Roja's squad at the 2014 World Cup, but has not yet featured during qualification for Euro 2016.
Mata is now back in the fold, however, and has said that he 'has the same enthusiasm' representing his country now as when he made his debut in 2009.
"I was at the World Cup. From last year I'm happy with my performances. I was happy with the games I played in and the goals I scored. I've got the same enthusiasm now as the first day I came here," Mata is quoted by as saying AS ahead of Spain's upcoming qualifiers against Slovakia and Macedonia.
Mata has netted 10 goals in 34 games for his country.
