Team Great Britain to play Senegal opener

The men's Great Britain football team will face Senegal, UAE and Uruguay in the group stage of London 2012, while the women's side go up against New Zealand, Cameroon and Brazil.

Stuart Pearce's Great Britain side will go head to head with Senegal in their opening football fixture of the 2012 Olympic Games this summer.

The men's team will travel to Old Trafford to play the African side, who defeated Oman last night to clinch a spot in the draw.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Craig Bellamy, Joe Cole and David Beckham could potentially be competing against Liverpool striker Luis Suarez after Uruguay were drawn in Group A with the host team.

Pearce will also have to prepare his squad for a clash with United Arab Emirates, while coach of the female Great Britain side Hope Powell will be leading her team out in Cardiff against New Zealand on July 25.

The women's side will also go up against Cameroon during the group stage and meet Brazil for a mouth-watering clash this summer.
