Liverpool's Alberto Moreno distances himself from Real Madrid transfer rumours

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno plays down reports that he could join Real Madrid in the future.

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno has played down reports that Real Madrid are interested in signing him.

The 23-year-old's agent Javier Moya recently claimed that it would be a "joy" for his client to move to the Bernabeu.

The Spaniard, who joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014, had a period out of the Reds team under former manager Brendan Rodgers due to the signing of Joe Gomez, but has been a regular for new boss Jurgen Klopp.

When asked about the Madrid rumours, Moreno told Cadena Cope: "I have never had anything serious with them - not me, not my brothers or representatives. I have not found out about that [Real Madrid interest], I do not know whether that is true."

Moreno has made more than 60 appearances for Liverpool.
