Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has entered the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho, according to reports.
PSG manager Laurent Blanc revealed on Tuesday that the French international is desperate to leave the club in search of regular first-team football.
With Matija Nastasic currently sidelined with an ankle injury and club captain Vincent Kompany ruled out for four weeks with a groin problem, Pellegrini has targeted the 23-year-old to resolve his threadbare defence, according to Clubcall.
Liverpool and AC Milan are among the clubs who are said to be admirers of the central defender, who can also play at left-back.
