Liverpool and Wales are reportedly at odds over the selection of midfielder Joe Allen in the Dragons' team for Wednesday's international with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The 22-year-old, who completed his £15m move to Anfield on Friday, has been included in Chris Coleman's 18-man squad for the Parc y Scarlets friendly.
According to The Sun, Coleman is keen for Allen to start the game but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants the player to be rested ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener at West Bromwich Albion.
Allen featured for Team GB in all four of their men's football matches during London 2012.
