Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Liverpool will not be signing any new players before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
The Merseyside outfit have made two signings this month - Marko Grujic, who will spend the rest of the season on loan at Red Star Belgrade, and Steven Caulker from Queens Park Rangers on loan.
The club are rumoured to have tabled bids of £25m and £28m for Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Alex Teixeira, but Sky Sports News reports that the Ukrainian outfit will not sell in this window.
Klopp has also suggested that the deal is dead by telling reporters: "I don't think something will happen in terms of incomings.
"I'm not sure what's better for your job. So I can say maybe something happens or I can say the truth. No, you can finish work for the day. The outgoing side I'm not 100% sure."
Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League table, eight points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
