Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told journalists to forget about rumours linking Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato to the club.
It was reported over the weekend that the Merseyside outfit have agreed an £11m deal for the forward, who currently plays for Corinthians.
However, when asked about the transfer rumours in Monday's press conference, Klopp told reporters: "My private advice to you is don't follow the Pato path any longer."
Pato spent five years at AC Milan before returning to his homeland in 2013, but the forward was plagued by injury in his final few seasons at San Siro.
Liverpool have made one signing so far this summer - the capture of Marko Grujic from Red Star Belgrade, but the midfielder will remain with the Serbian club on loan until the end of the season.
