Team News: Jon Flanagan makes first Liverpool start since May 2014

Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan makes his first start since May 2014 in their Capital One Cup semi-final against Stoke City.

Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan has been handed his first start since May 2014 in tonight's Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Stoke City at Anfield.

The 23-year-old has spent more than a year on the treatment table with injuries, but is now fit to start as he replaces Nathaniel Clyne, who is carrying a knock.

The only other change made by manager Jurgen Klopp is the inclusion of Adam Lallana, who scored the winner in last weekend's 5-4 victory over Norwich City.

Lallana comes in for Jordon Ibe, who has dropped to the bench, while Christian Benteke continues his spell as a substitute as Klopp has opted once again to play without a recognised striker.

As for Stoke, manager Mark Hughes has made four changes to the side that lost 3-0 to Leicester City at the weekend.

Marc Muniesa replaces injured centre-back Ryan Shawcross, while Marko Arnautovic has returned to the first XI in place of Xherdan Shaqiri.

Bojan has replaced Joselu, while Peter Crouch has been preferred up top to Mame Biram Diouf, who is not in the squad this evening.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Flanagan, Toure, Sakho, Moreno; Lucas, Can, Henderson; Milner, Lallana, Firmino
Subs: Ward, Lovren, Benteke, Allen, Ibe, Teixeira, Smith

Stoke City: Butland; Johnson, Wollscheid, Muniesa, Pieters; Whelan, Afellay; Walters, Bojan, Arnautovic; Crouch
Subs: Haugaard, Bardsley, Joselu, Wilson, v.Ginkel, Adam, Shaqiri
