Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that he wants to bring a new forward into the fold on Merseyside.
The Toffees, who have been criticised for their lack of spending in the summer window, are known to be cash-strapped.
"I'm trying to get a centre-forward in," said Moyes. "That would certainly lift the mood because we know we're a little bit short. If we could do that then it will help us, if we don't then we'll keep going.
"Winning makes a big difference, if you win football games then it covers up a multitude of sins, always has done."
Moyes's side sit 11th in the Premier League table, taking 20 points from 16 matches.
