Reported Chelsea transfer target Jack Rodwell will miss Everton's match with Swansea City because of a hamstring injury.

Jack Rodwell has been ruled out of Everton's match against Swansea City tomorrow with a hamstring strain.

The young midfielder sustained the problem during the warm-up prior to Saturday's 1-1 draw with Norwich City.

"Jack was injured on the bench [against Norwich]," manager David Moyes told the Liverpool Echo. "He got injured in the warm-up again.

"He had a hamstring strain, as you know, but I got told just before kickoff that even if I needed Jack he wouldn't be able to go on because he felt it in the warm up."

Reports this morning have linked the 20-year-old with a move away from Goodison Park.
