Elsewhere, Southampton frontman Rickie Lambert has been named as one of four strikers, along with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge.

Everton teenager Ross Barkley has also been selected by Hodgson, as have Arsenal's midfield duo of Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, despite recent injury problems.
