Frank Lampard included in England World Cup squad?

Frank Lampard is reportedly included in England's World Cup squad this summer alongside the likes of Ross Barkley, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has been included in the England squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil, according to reports on Twitter.

Lampard had been expected to miss out on the tournament having seen his first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge limited this season.

However, the 35-year-old is now understood to have made it into Roy Hodgson's provisional squad, which will be officially announced tomorrow.

Everton's Ross Barkley, Liverpool's Jordan Henderson and Manchester City's James Milner are also reportedly included, while there is no place for Manchester United duo Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley.

Southampton trio Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Luke Shaw are expected to be on the plane, with the latter's inclusion confirmed by the revelation that Ashley Cole has been omitted.

Cole has since retired from international football, ending an illustrious international career that saw him amass 107 caps for his country.
