Derby County have reportedly interviewed Steve McClaren about a potential return to the club.
The 55-year-old was sacked by the Rams 17 months ago after guiding the team to just two wins in their final 13 Championship games of the 2014-15 season.
As a result, Derby missed out on a spot in the playoffs and McClaren lost his job, but following the departure of Nigel Pearson last week, there could be a way back for the former England boss.
According to Sky Sports News, McClaren has spoken with the club, but it is unclear whether his potential return would be as manager or in another role.
Pearson left the iPro Stadium after reportedly falling out with Derby owner and chairman Mel Morris.
McClaren has been out of work since getting sacked by Newcastle United in March.
