Czech Republic midfielder Petr Jiracek has admitted that he and his teammates had to grow into the game against Poland at Euro 2012.
Jiracek, who scored the goal that knocked the co-hosts out of the competition, insists that the Czechs were worth all three points and a place in the next round despite a slow start in Wroclaw.
"We had a poor start but we improved, we started to create chances," he said. "We deserved to score."
Meanwhile, keeper Petr Cech has echoed Jiracek's thoughts.
