Chelsea have turned their attention to Juventus ace Mattia Caldara in their search for a new centre-back, according to a report.
The Blues are said to have been put off by the Italian giants' valuation of fellow defender Daniele Rugani, forcing them to look at other targets.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claims that Caldara, previously linked with Inter Milan this window, is now high on Chelsea's wishlist.
The report suggests that a £35m bid has been launched, which the West Londoners hope will be enough to persuade Juventus to part with the 24-year-old.
Caldara, who spent last season on loan with Atalanta BC, is the latest in a long line of Juve players to have been linked with Chelsea, including both Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain.
