In-demand Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz likes an "announce Havertz" message on social media to send Chelsea supporters into a frenzy.

Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz appeared to drop a hint that he could be on his way to Chelsea by liking a supporter's message on Twitter.

The Blues have been tipped to make the Germany international their next signing after completing a £54m deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

Chelsea posted some quotes from Werner on their social media channels on Thursday, with user Masoud Karimis responding with 'Announce Havertz'.

Havertz sent Chelsea fans into a frenzy by liking the tweet, which some feel is another sign that the 21-year-old is Stamford Bridge-bound.

Frank Lampard's side will reportedly have to splash out £90m to prise the young forward away from Leverkusen, however, as he still has another couple of years to run on his contract.
