Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could surpass Samuel Eto'o as the highest-paid footballer in the world, according to the Daily Mail.
Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande are reportedly prepared to surpass Eto'o's wages of £350,000 a week at Anzhi Makhachkala and blow their rivals out of the water.
The Blues striker is out of contract at the end of the season and wants a longer deal rather than the one-year offer currently on the table.
Drogba's agent, Thierno Seydi, has previously admitted that the striker "will go where he is offered the most money", opening up a move to Asia.
Drogba has scored 150 goals in 321 games for Chelsea since joining from Marseille in 2004.
