Michy Batshuayi's proposed loan move from Chelsea to Nottingham Forest has reportedly broken down at the final moment.

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi will reportedly not be joining Nottingham Forest on loan.

The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Blues this summer, and Forest have already been attempting to bring him to the City Ground on transfer deadline day.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Forest's proposed loan move for the Belgium international has broken down, with the centre-forward set to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi has not been involved for Chelsea this season, with the former Standard Liege youngster not in the plans of Blues boss Thomas Tuchel moving forward.

The Belgian has found the back of the net on 25 occasions in 77 appearances for his current side in all competitions, in addition to contributing six assists.

Batshuayi impressed on loan at Besiktas last term, scoring 14 times in 33 league appearances, while he has also spent time away from Chelsea at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.

Chelsea are believed to be on the verge of announcing the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, but reported target Memphis Depay is definitely staying at Camp Nou.
